How it works

I love talking to potential clients about their website projects.

Here’s what to expect when working together.

Discovery

We’ll schedule a time to have a chat about your project. It’s important to me to make sure that we are the right fit for each other. Once we’ve talked through your vision and goals for the website, I’ll send over a proposal/contract and then you’ll pay a deposit. Once this is complete, we can crack on with the exciting stuff - the design stage! You will then receive the details for your Client Portal access, this is where you’ll be able to keep track of all the documents and emails we exchange.

Prep & Design

Next we’ll dig a little deeper into the style and look you desire. Assess your existing branding (logo, fonts, colour palette, etc.) to determine the design. At this stage I’ll require you to a have a think about content such as images and copy (the words and messaging on the site). This is something I can help with, or I can refer you to some of my trusted contacts who are specialists in these areas. I’ll start to create some visuals for you to take a look at and when you’re happy we’ll move to stage 3.

Build

I’ll then get down to work building your site in Squarespace, applying my experience of creating sites for a variety of clients to make your dream site a reality. I’ll keep you updated during the build stage to make sure you are satisfied with progress. Once complete I will give you the guided tour of your new online home. A live walk through of all the pages and features, and an opportunity to carry out any final tweaks.

Launch

Finally, I’ll make sure the site is optimised for desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile. So you can be sure that your clients see your business in the best light. Once the last minute checks are complete we’re good to go and ready to hit publish. You can then schedule a training call where we will go through how to access your site and make future changes. I’ll also send a link to a training video.

I offer 2 website design packages with additional add-ons. Typically, a website starts from £1200.
Once you have read and agreed to the contract you’ll be sent a deposit invoice for 50% of the total cost. This is due before I can book your project into my workflow. When the site is completed and signed off you will receive an invoice for the balance, and this needs to be paid before the website goes live.
Generally speaking I would be able to start your project within a month after our discovery call. I find that gives clients time to pull together what I need in terms of branding and logo files, etc.
Once I have all the information I require, it usually takes 2 weeks to complete the design and build.
You can find Squarespace pricing here. The majority of my clients are on the Business plan. As a Squarespace Circle member I can offer you a 20% discount, as well as additional benefits. so it is worth talking to me even if we don’t end up working together!
When I handover the site you’ll be able to carry out basic changes and amendments yourself. Should you need me for anything then I charge an hourly rate for adhoc work on the site. If you are interested in promoting your site then take a look at my Digital Marketing Support page.
